Smashing Pumpkins!

I love October for a mulititude of reasons: temperatures drop (a bit), cuisine gets heartier, Halloween means "dressing like your alter-ego", and the resurgence of all things pumpkin! I can't wait to begin baking pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, pumpkin rolls with cream cheese icing...the list goes on. Furthermore, I look forward to harvest decor...gourds, corn stalks, fruits, and all things used to create an autumn bounty. Everyone can get into the October-Halloween spirit even if they don't have the gorgeous blue pumpkins above that comprise Martha Stewart's sophisticated tableau. Embrace your inner child, get ahold of some linoleum cutting tools and carve out your niche of creativity! Who says Halloween has to be all about ghoulish faces?-BH
