The Cat’s Meow

Every minx loves a little leopard every now and then. Right now these classically chic feline spots are trend-on making inspired stylish statements in multiple luxe ways. Here are a few of my current cat-like favorites. - KL

Trés chic at a Fendi fête during Paris fashion week, Tatiana Santo Domingo and Margherita Missoni both wearing leopard looks from Giambattista Valli’s Spring 2010 collection. Look for this trend to carry on from fall to spring.

Christian Louboutin for men? Yes please! Rumor has it that this fine thought might actually be in the works. Wonder if these cool kicks come equipped with the famed red soles.

The gangster’s den – Kelly Wearstler’s master bedroom, perfectly luxe for both a lion and his lioness.

Catty Correspondence – love these personalized catchy note cards by Iomoi. Leopard Pattern Luggage with Racing Stripes, $68/set of 20. As seen on lonnymag.com

J’Adore a studded leo, especially one from the collection Panthére de Cartier. I’d wear this luxe lynx day and night, casual or glam. 18-carat yellow gold, tsavorite grenats, onyx and black lacquer. Cartier.com

Yves Saint Laurent was known for being a devotee of the chic cat print displaying it both on and off the runway. I adore this spotted and red lacquer bench displayed within a mix of inspired treasures from Yves' Paris duplex which were auctioned off last February by the late designer’s partner, Pierre Bergé.

*Stylist Tip - A great and easy way to work leopard into your own personal style, both fashion and interior, is to think of the pattern as a new neutral. Mix and match with any solid of choice, and with other prints and patterns within the same color range.
